Video Surveillance & Communication Equipment

Video surveillance is a large part of the physical security industry, and a consideration for many commercial and residential customers. Video surveillance and communication equipment helps hinder crime, observe scenarios and activities, pick and assemble evidence for recording and documenting events, improve public safety, prevent crime in public areas and more. The technology has expanded rapidly in recent years. According to the SDM 2021 Top Systems Integrators report, video solutions include almost 20 percent of sales revenue for integrators. In the 2022 SDM Industry Forecast, video surveillance was voted as the top rewarding market segment for producing sales in 2021. Video surveillance systems employ point-to-point (P2P), point-to-multipoint, mesh wired or wireless links. Video cameras now often have motion detection built into them, and feature some of the best imaging in the history of the technology. IP cameras, storing footage in the cloud, thermal imaging and edge processing have also marked advances in video surveillance technology.
