SIA Lunch & Learn at ISC West:
Is Privacy a Liability or an Opportunity for Your Company?

When: Tuesday, July 20 — 12:00-1:30 PM

Join us at this event presented by SIA's Data Privacy Advisory Board to hear expert insights and perspectives on data privacy issues and enjoy lunch and networking. Data management challenges contain both legal and reputational risks, but they also present business opportunities to security companies, as a potential brand differentiator and, for integrators and consultants especially, as a value-added service.

This lunch-and-learn event will examine data privacy issues from multiple perspectives and feature:

- A keynote presentation from Erik Jones, a partner at Venable LLP with expertise in data privacy and legal and regulatory risk.

- A roundtable discussion featuring insights from privacy experts.

- A review of real privacy policies from anonymous companies to identify what they’re doing right and what they could improve.

- The release of the new Privacy Code of Practice for the Security Industry, an invaluable set of guidelines developed by the SIA Data Privacy Advisory Board.

Attendees will also enjoy a complimentary lunch and networking with other security industry professionals.

Mission 500 Great Las Vegas Hunt

When: Tuesday, July 20 — 6:00-8:00 PM

The Great Las Vegas Hunt will take place on Tuesday, July 20th (Day 2 of the Show). Network with friends and bond with your team - all while helping children in need with this fun scavenger hunt!

How does it work?

The cost to participate is $200 per team of 4 ($50 for individuals) and includes an event medal and a t-shirt. Start time will be 6PM at the bottom of the escalators in the Lower Lobby of the Sands Expo. The event is expected to end between 7:30 and 8PM at Harrah’s Carnaval Bar.

Instructions will be handed to each team at the start of the scavenger hunt and teams are expected to go to each individual designated spot and take a group photo as evidence. The first team to gather all location group pictures and return to the finish line wins.
