Gerard Figols Appointed Chief Product Officer

i-PRO Co. has appointed Gerard Figols as the company’s chief product officer (CPO). With a career spanning over 17 years in the physical security industry, i-PRO said Figols brings a wealth of global experience and strategic vision to his new role.

In his most recent position as president of i-PRO EMEA and i-PRO APAC, Figols demonstrated exceptional leadership in driving the company’s growth and success in these markets, according to an announcement. Leveraging his extensive experience in engineering, marketing and sales, Figols has been instrumental in shaping i-PRO’s presence in the security industry.

As CPO, Figols will be tasked with spearheading i-PRO’s global product strategy.

“Gerard’s appointment as CPO underscores our mission to establish i-PRO as a truly global organization,” said Masato Nakao, CEO at i-PRO. “Building on his years of experience working across cultures, Gerard will be able to leverage insights from different business regions to develop best-in-class products suited to the needs of different industries and markets.”

In a related announcement, i-PRO said it appointed Jose Riolobos as Figols’ successor to the role of president of i-PRO EMEA. For several years, Riolobos held senior positions within i-PRO and, previously, Panasonic in Europe and Japan. //

Promoted New Sales Directors

Napco Security Technologies has promoted two regional sales managers to sales director: Troy Bonnano for Napco Security & Fire, and Rob Etmans for Napco Access Pro divisions. As sales directors, they will help coordinate regional sales managers’ efforts to meet sales and management objectives; drive channel management through independent reps and distribution; support and help create and on-board new and current dealer/integrators; conduct new product introductions, presentations, exhibitions and training across the country.

Appointed Surveillance & Video Verification Committee Co-Chair

The Monitoring Association (TMA) said David Charney, chief customer officer, Stealth Monitoring, has accepted the position of co-chair of the TMA Surveillance and Video Verification (SVV) Committee. Charney joins Wes Usie of Guardian Alarm Systems as committee co-chair. TMA’s Surveillance and Video Verification Committee’s primary mission is to promote, advocate and educate on the use of indoor and outdoor video monitoring using enhanced video verification practices in the professional monitoring industry. Its overarching goal is to reduce false alarms and false dispatches through video verification.

Tom Gross

Appointed Senior Vice President of National Sales

Vector Security Networks, a division of Vector Security, has hired Thomas P. Gross as senior vice president of national sales. In this role, Gross is responsible for creating and executing Vector Security Networks’ sales strategy to maintain and grow existing customer relationships and revenue, and to acquire new customers consistent with business objectives. Gross joins Vector Security Networks from a global security services provider based in Sweden, where he was most recently area vice president.

Jon Adams

Appointed Vice President of Sales

Jon Adams has returned to DMP as the vice president of sales. He will oversee the sales department and direct initiatives to continue growth and development, according to an announcement. With a deep history in the security industry and longstanding ties to DMP, the company said Adams brings a special blend of experience to this role. His early career began in central station management at Atlas Security. From there, he moved on to building central stations with other companies. With this foundation, he transitioned into sales for DMP, representing territories in California for many years.

John Valdez

Appointed Vice President of Sales

Elite Interactive Solutions (EIS) has named John Valdez as the company’s new vice president of sales. A senior leader with 25 years’ experience working for Fortune 500 companies and start-up ventures, Valdez’s responsibilities include heading up Elite’s sales department with oversight of business development representatives and a lead generation call center. Valdez has sat on multiple executive boards, including serving as chairman of the board at SIMGAD Solar. He began his career at Enterprise Holdings, where he spent 19 years, ascending to the position of executive officer.

Charlie Kowalczyk

Appointed Director of Support Services

AtlasIED announced the appointment of Charlie Kowalczyk as director of support services. Kowalczyk steps into the role, currently held by Dick Snider, general manager of support services, who retired June 1. Kowalczyk currently serves as AtlasIED’s domestic sales and operations manager, a position he has held for 10 years. Kowalczyk’s experience at the company, knowledge of the complexities and critical nature of AtlasIED GLOBALCOM deployments, and established relationships with certified transportation resellers and transportation clients make him the ideal candidate to succeed Snider.
