GLSA Rebrands, Introduces New Website & Logo
The former Global Life Safety Alliance (GLSA) has changed its name to the Life Safety Alliance (LSA). The Alliance, formed in 2018 by some of the most recognized individuals in the security industry, has continually promoted its vision of advancing the field of life safety to a global audience. Today’s members work to share knowledge and promote best practices across the industry, building resources for the community on a new website. Along with the new site, a new logo has been rolled out to support the simplified name. Report: Contactless Technology Among Big Cyber Risks for Hospitality Industry
A recent report by Trustwave finds that unlike conventional office buildings where employee access is typically controlled through access control cards, hospitality establishments face a bevy of cybersecurity risks due to the accessibility of hardware by guests. For instance, the server closet in a hotel could be left unlocked and easily accessible or a thumb drive could easily be inserted into a nearby device.
